Our suggested amendments to European Commission’s proposal for a revised Energy Efficiency Directive

In the document attached, we propose several changes to the European Commission text on a revised Energy Efficiency Directive, published in November 2016 as a part of the Clean Energy Package for All Europeans.

The changes are meant to bring more clarity and to include more details in the articles on, for example, gas meters, data format, data access. Any "grey areas" in the legislation could have negative affects on its implementation and could lead to confusion, less benefits for consumers and competition distortion in the market.
